Then, they go into the screening room where the movie, Captain Pickles Saves The Day, is just beginning. Barney shows everyone a snack that they use they five senses with - popcorn. Everyone goes into the classroom, which is modeled into a snack concession stand. Barney points out that the theater is right there - the school, which is modeled into the Super-Dee-Duper Theater. Later, BJ says he can't wait for the movie to be released into theaters. This gives BJ an idea that the movie will have pickles in it, and his hero name would be Captain Pickles! Barney agrees with his idea and everyone works on the set, reprising "The Having Fun Song". BJ says his smile would look better with pickle-flavored toothpaste. After that, Barney sees the kids and BJ's smiles. Next, Barney shows that brushing teeth is another healthy trait, so your teeth will look good and healthy. Barney adds, "Now that's what I call a healthy snack!" Barney, BJ, and the kids, dressed as healthy foods, sing "Have a Snack!". When BJ asks how it tastes, Barney says "Get ready for the rutabaga rumble!" before he crunches it with force, causing the ground to shake. Carlos has a carrot, Tosha has an apple, Jason has a broccoli, Kim has a celery, and BJ has a pickle. Eating healthy foods is another one.īarney blindfolds BJ and the kids for another game: they have to identify healthy foods by their looks and taste. After that, Kim says that exercise isn't the only way to be strong. In the playground, Barney shows BJ that big strong heroes need lots of exercise. BJ decides that he's going to be a superhero in the movie. BJ then becomes an astronaut on the moon, but discovers that he's all alone.BJ then becomes a baseball player, but he keeps getting strikeouts.BJ goes to be a cowboy, but he doesn't have much success with the lasso.He comes up with three ideas, but they don't go so well: Outside, everyone listens to various everyday sounds as they sing "Listen".īack in the treehouse, BJ wonders what he's going to be in the movie. In unison, the contestants buzz in and shout "It's BJ!" Barney claims them all winners, and BJ enters the scene. The only incorrect response is Carlos's uncle blowing his nose, which is actually an elephant. Barney says he's going to play a sound and the kids have to guess which animal makes that sound. which is modeled after a game show, named Did You Hear That?!, with Barney as the host, Tosha as the announcer, and Jason, Kim, and Carlos as the contestants. Then, they all play a listening game in the treehouse. Everyone sings "Listen to the Mockingbird". Barney looks up a tree and sees a whistling mockingbird. Barney and the kids become filmed into the camera while singing "The Having Fun Song".Īfter that, they all go to the playground for listening. Kim decides to call it "Barney's Sense-Sational Day". Tosha wonders what it's like to make real movies, so Barney brings in an active movie camera and decides to make a big movie or a TV show or a video about things they see or hear or smell or taste or touch, which are called the five senses. Barney, Jason, Kim, and Carlos decide to take a turn with it and they sing "Taking Turns". She says she's been pretending to film movies. They sing "Mix a Color", as they mix colors for Barney's picture.Īfter Kim adds the finishing touches on Barney's toes, Barney looks at the picture and says "It's super-dee-duper! It's so much fun to paint a picture of you." Just then, Tosha comes with a movie camera, which is only a toy. Barney explains that if they mix colors, they would make a new color. The kids decide to paint a picture of Barney holding a flowerpot, but the only paint tube colors in the treehouse are red, yellow, and blue. Barney is satisfied by their clay artwork and hopes that one day they would make him in art. As they get to the end, they discover that Barney is making it happen.īarney transforms from a doll to a life-size form and greets the kids. Carlos guesses that there may be a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow, like in the old saying. After that, the clay rainbow begins to sparkle and a real rainbow shines through it. They cooperate on making a rainbow as they sing "The Rainbow Song". Jason has colored "snakes" to make a rainbow. Carlos is making a snowman and Kim is making a pizza.
