The name of this device could be the Nexus 6P based on information that Droid-Life obtained in mid-September from a reliable source. The report neglected to mention any details on the device itself, but did suggest a fall launch date. This isn’t the first time Huawei’s name has been attached to producing a Nexus smartphone, and it was connected to the Nexus 6 for a short while prior to its release.Īccording to a report from Android Authority in June 2015, sources working on the project tell the Information (subscription only) that Huawei will make the next Google Nexus phone. Huawei has been linked with Google’s next Nexus phone project, taking over from Motorola. The Nexus 6P may be Huawei’s first Nexus phone An Android Police report also talks about an LG-produced Nexus phone, codenamed Angler, which may be a more reasonably priced follow-up to the brilliant Nexus 5. A report from March connects LG with Google on the project. This isn’t the first time we’ve heard that LG is making a Nexus phone. Last year, Google announced Android L in June, also as a developer preview, then officially released it as Android Lollipop alongside the Nexus 6 in October. 29 as the release date.Īndroid M was already announced last month, but it’s only available as a developer preview. This coincides with past practice as Google generally launches Nexus phones in either October or November, along with the official release of a new version of Android.Ĭontrarily, Korean publication mkPost, citing an anonymous source “who accurate information” about 2013’s Nexus 5, is reporting Sept. A 32GB version will be available for $450Ī South Korean report also claims the LG-made Nexus will launch in October with Android M. In early September, a leak hinted that Google will hold a Nexus launch event on Sept. 29, and now a new report from Android Authority claims that the LG Nexus 5X will arrive on that date for $400. If you have a phone model that you love and would like to see produced in the near future, we'd appreciate your filling out this quick survey to help out our project manager: Future Product Survey.LG Nexus 5X and Huawei Nexus tipped for Sept. 29 launch What about another device-how do I add it to the list to make in the future? We just don't get enough demand for this phone. We do have our O-series Lenses that rely on a mounting plate to work with the SE. What about a case for the iPhone 5 / 5SE?Īt this time we do not have plans to make a case for the iPhone SE. We're getting much faster at it and plan to support their future phones but the S7 got left out. Keep in mind Samsung also doesn't publish their phone spec publicly so it's much harder to design products for their phones. Our M-series lenses would work on the S7 but the cost of making a Photo Case is higher than the demand we receive for the S7. At the time our O-series Lenses weren't compatible and had to wait to see what Apple was doing before re-designing the lenses. We basically missed the S7 phone cycle and moved on to the S8. These phones work with our O-Series Lenses, Original Photo Case, and/or a Mounting Plate: * this device is sold out and we are not going to be getting any more in stock unfortunately, sorry for any inconvenience These phones work with our M-Series, a Photo Case, Wallet Case, and/or a Battery Photo Case.
